"Avila Coral"
I'm passionate in using more bold and vivid colors to create the one of a kind original art. This piece was inspired by Avila Beach, on the California coastline.
This original was created with alcohol inks on Yupo paper.
I am the mother of three young adult children, each creative in their own unique way. Two of them just started college, while our oldest will stay at home. My favorite part of the creative process is expressing my feelings while my oldest son with severe autism is playing on his grand piano. I begin by choosing colors, but I never really have a plan at the beginning, other than colors. The process is moved forward by connecting with him and the pieces he chooses to play. He lacks the words to describe something, but through his music he is communicating his emotions and I display them in my choice of shapes, colors and movement. We have had a long and rewarding journey since birth with our son. Now as a young adult he enjoys spending hours each day creating music and I’m right next to him creating my artwork. He has been an inspiration to our whole family and this is expressed through my artwork, filled with energy and intensity. I live on the central coast of California with my husband and children.
